Therapist vs Life Coach

Seeing a therapist or a life coach depends on the individual's specific needs and circumstances. Here are some reasons where seeing a therapist might be more appropriate than seeing a life coach.

  1. Mental heath issues such as depression, severe anxiety, trauma, or severe stress.

  2. Clinical diagnosis or treatment plan for a mental health condition. A therapist can provide the necessary assessment and clinical interventions.

  3. Past trauma or abuse may require a therapist who is trained in trauma-informed care.

  4. Chronic mental health conditions who need ongoing therapy and psychiatric support to manage symptoms and improve functioning.

  5. Medication management may be needed to treat a mental health condition, a psychiatric nurse practioner can prescribe and monitor medication, often in conjunction with therapy.

Although I can offer valuable support, I am not trained to diagnose or treat mental health disorders. I will help the client seek the appropriate professional support accordingly.
